* Sixth day (Saturday) starts different from the fifth. The fifth day was cloudy but dry in the morning and only afterwards became cloudy and rainy. Today is cloudy and rainy from the beginning. Like yesterday we pass the time by talking, playing cards (since the time when we were stacked in New Zealand for 2 days in a hut we always carry with us cards) and of course - sleeping. Yesterday it was nice doing so after 4 days of intensive walking. Today it is less fun and we start to think about our supply. Again we are running short of water, but maybe it will snow like yesterday. The problem with the snow is that it doesn't melt by itself, and you need a lot of energy in order to melt it. Our supply of gas-oil for the stove is limited. Food is another problem. We took a supply for only 2 spare days, and today is the second. If we wait more, either we will succeed to buy from the (few) locals who live on the two small villages on the way (in each village live 2-3 families) or we will be hungry. In the afternoon our water problem is solved again by the snow... I'm optimistic for tomorrow. Tali suggests that if tomorrow the bad weather continues we will return a half day hike to the road and try to hitch. I don't like the idea since tomorrow is Sunday and traffic may be void. We go to sleep without a decision, hoping for good weather...
* No luck for us in the beginning of day seven. Not a change in the weather. Tali agrees with me to wait one more day (maybe my logic isn't the thing that convinced her, but the half day walk under the rain...) We are tired of sleeping and playing cards, but what can we do ? even to eat now isn't fun, when you know that you will starve... Somehow the time passes by... We consolate ourselves with the fact that at least the snow isn't deep and doesn't block the way... Now it's afternoon and again it starts to snow... An hour later we have again enough in order to melt... we good to sleep... our mood is not high...
Counting our food...
