Courses Taught

Startup Venturing:

A “real world” course in creating successful scientific based products and services. The course is focused on identifying market needs, brainstorming and concept creation. It then shifts gear to focus on concept development and business implementation. The course is taught in collaboration with experienced entrepreneurs, corporate executives, intellectual property attorneys, and venture capitalists. As such, it provides a unique opportunity to gain real world experience on turning "ideas" into "products" and "Startups".

Strategic Management:

The Strategic Management course focuses on strategically managing single business units. Strategic Management issues include generating and sustaining competitive advantages, market positioning vis-à-vis competitors, and defending competitive market positions.

International Business Strategy:

The International Business Strategy course focuses on strategically managing geographically diversified firms. International Business addresses several questions including: how to evaluate risk and return in foreign countries, comparative advantage and its impact on business decisions, why and how firms expand abroad, why do multinational corporations exist, international strategic alliances and how managers cope with the multiple and often conflicting demands they face when managing cross-border operations.

INTOPIA - Business Simulation of Global Strategy:

INTOPIA is a PC simulation of Global Business Strategy in the management game format. It provides a pilot experience for students in running multinational corporations and dealing with diverse international business environments. Students are divided into groups which represent the management of multinational corporations in knowledge intensive industries and compete for market share, profits and sustainable competitive advantage.
