Dr. Martin Rodan

Dr. Martin Rodan

Lecturer and researcher of French literature and culture at the Department of Romance and Latin-American Studies. Teaches the following courses: "Introduction to French civilization", "French canonic literary texts" and different seminars in the field of French literature of the 19th and 20th centuries. His main topics of research are "The work of Albert Camus", "French romantic novels" and "The philosophy of Constantin Brunner". His book Notre culture européenne, cette inconnue (Our unknown European culture), presenting the History of European Culture, was published in 2009 in Switzerland by "Peter Lang" publishing house. In 2014, his book Camus et lántiquitë (Camus and antiquity) was published by the same Editor. Dr. Rodan has also published several articles about French writers and philosophers in the literary supplement "Tarbut vesifrut" of "Haaretz".
